Suckersand
Suckersand is often confused with the relatively harmless quicksand. Suckersand is not a natural phenomenon, however, but a minor horror construct. In practice, it acts like a trap, having no real attacks, but it can be attacked through magical means.
It appears to be a patch of damp earth where nothing grows, occasionally covered with fallen leaves. It prefers to manifest in damp or swampy areas, just like quicksand, but there are no hard and fast rules. Unlike real quicksand, Suckersand is deadly and difficult to escape. It is capable of slowly drowning entire hunting or scouting parties, especially if they try to help each other out of the deadly trap.
