Artifacts from the Fourth World will fetch a very high price, if you can find the right buyer. Or put a price on your head, if the wrong sort finds out you have them. The magic level isn't high enough to use them. Yet.

What about in the Gruv? Wouldn't the magic there be high enough for them to function? If you could figure out how to use them.

Maybe. Probably not, but maybe. Just getting the artifact from Earth to the Gruv could be far too interesting, as the Rabbit Hole may or may not allow it to pass. You'd certainly have to find an area well away from the Samsut homeland, where the mana level is purposely kept low to power their weird science tech. And well away from Fort Alice, and the Rabbit Hole, which is still draining mana from the Gruv to Earth, although that's slowed down a lot in the last year. Maybe the Saurid homeland on the second continent? Or the rumoured third continent that neither the Samsut nor the Saurids seem to want to talk about?

Hmm, a planet with mana levels in that much flux area to area seems like it has a lot of potential. NEAT.

Ooh, the magic bleed has slowed down. So, I wonder if over the next decade magic is going to slowly start bleeding into the Gruv from Earth. After all, the cyclical magic of earth seemed to ramp up pretty fast from the Gruv's jumpstart.

Hm. Will Earth's mana cycle rise high enough to send mana back the other way? Knowing the metaplot of Earthdawn and 1879, and knowing that they're in the same universe, the answer would be "probably". If Earth returns to Fourth World levels of mana, high enough for thread magic and Disciplines to be possible, then mana would flow back through, yes. What effect would this have on the magical ecologies of both worlds? Discuss.

Just to throw another thought to toss around in the discussion, what sort of long term effects do you think the mana exchange through the portal would have on both worlds?

I'm going to leave this as a Deep Mystery, one of the things we won't explain. We do intend to advance the metaplot with each book, so there will be some developments along the way. However, the GM and players have to have some blank spaces on the map. Please feel free to speculate.
