Re: Blunt arrows

I'd allow a called shot with the aim to cause Knockdown. Archers can pump enough Karma into attacks that this should be a trivial task for them.
Blunt arrows and the like is not something that I'd want in my game but your table, your rules.

Re: Figments

I'm not sure, in my interpretation Figments need to have some sort of sensory component to qualify as such, which the Trust spell doesn't really have. Nothing to see, hear, or otherwise perceive. But it's certainly similar to my interpretation of the Clarion Call spell, but offers a much longer dura...

Re: Figments

We read the "obviously an illusion" part less as "the targets KNOWS it was an illusion" but more as something coming from the subconscious. So once figment are seen through, the person affected has an obvious sense of having been deceived/something being off. But I'll explain more how I picture thin...

You're probably better off contacting fasa directly via their business email.

Re: Bitterroot [Magic Weapon]

One fun thing could be that, instead of Mark of the Boar, Aspect of the Casual Murderer gets cast when the wielder has gotten on the spirit's bad side :P

Re: Animal companions and barding

Most animals (at least above circle rating 1) already come with their own natural armor that's better than anything barding would provide.
On top of that you get the already mentioned talents that can further boost that armor.

I think that should be enough

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs

Another thing came up today in Discord. Astral Interference vs Baseline Subtraction: Can someone cast Baseline Subtraction just in the anticipation that Astral Interference may be used or is the spell only valid as a counter of already existing interference? Scenario: A Wizard casting Baseline Subtr...

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs

Defensive Stance:

Table on page 383 says -3 to all tests, but description in 384 says just tests, except for Knockdown.

Main question:
Does that mean it also reduces Initiative?

Re: Astral Space attacks

The only ways to attack something astrally in ED4 with a weapon are the respective talents to do so and a few (I can think of at least one) spells.

Re: Barbed (Throwingg) Nets - Damage Questions

Thanks for the answer but since I posted this one of my players has dug up a post by Panda in the Discord that it's actually Step 2 and it's reduced by armor when they fail to escape.
