Investigation in Ironbark Grove revealed a conflict between two elementals - Wood and Metal. It was a spiritual ecosystem in peril, with the Metal spirit trying to stay alive while it inadvertently poisoned the grove, and the Wood spirit trying to remove the interloper but inadvertently hastening the iron poisoning.
Discussion with the Elementals revealed a Kaer, buried beneath a protective dome of True Iron, to which the Metal spirit was bound. A party of adventurers has negotiated a truce between the spirits (at the cost of Zil owing the Wood Spirit a major favor), by promising to open the Kaer and relocate its denizens.
Who's ready to go Kaer-knocking!

While in Throal I also intend to inquire of Questors of Jaspree, Purifiers, and more senior Elementalists as to how to convince all the regions Wood Elementals, to convince all the plants in the area, and all the insects and other wildlike in the area, to stop eating True Earth metals. I mean the Wood Spirits at least seem to recognize that it is poisonous. But it seems as if everything is unwilling to stop eating it.
