The Power Possession of the construct Shadow in the Compendium phrases that the Shadow possesses the Body but not the mind.
So the Adept can speak and think freely. But what includes the Body Possession? So the Shadow can use Talents and Skills? Can he cast Spells? Does this mean he can use everything or only everything not based on PER? Or does this mean s.th. else?

Is some of the official developer here explaining how the Possession Power really works?

I'm not a developer, but the pssessed person can only think freely, not speak. Speaking is a physical action of the body. In any case, if they could speak, they may warn their friends that they should be tied down!

What I think they meant by 'not controlling their mind' is that the Horror cannot access the host's memories. Thus:

- The Shadow can still make the body talk (since its a physical action) and the voice will sound normal.
- The Shadow do not know the mannerisms of the host; thus someone familiar with the person would probably notice something is amiss. However, the Shadow might very well have observed the host before possessing it and therefore have a bit of an idea about how to 'act' correctly.
- Since the Shadow do not have access to the memories, he would not not know the friends and family members of the host; one more chance to notice something is amiss.
- Again, since no memory access, he would not have access to any of the learned knowledge of the host; thus not able to use the host's skills, talents or spells.

Just my opinion tho, I'm not a dev.

Something to think about, there's no reason a shadow need dictate everything the possessed person does. It could let the person act normally until certain times where it forces an off behavior or two to its advantage. Like at a critical time that causes a friend's death.

Everything true! Stay in the shadow and do later s.th. which will lead to really bad stuff.
But all this is interpretating the rules phrased not knowing the real Intention. That would really be nice to know.
