standard matrix to enhanced matrix

At circle 5 a standard matrix becomes an enhanced matrix, does it then jump onto the journeyman cost to improve legend point wise?
Free Talent: One of the adept’s free Standard Matrix talents is upgraded to an Enhanced Matrix.
So it's one of your two free matrixes that you get at circle 1 i.e. they upgrade automatically - there's never any cost with improving them as far as I know.
