Artisan skills

Post by Sharnadale » Tue May 09, 2017 4:43 am

One more question. The book gives the indication that artisan skills are basically just useful for proving you're not horror marked. So if I took a craftsman or artist skill for my artisan skill, would there be much point in raising it, or would I have to buy the same skill again as an artist or craftsman skill in order to impress anyone or make any money with it?

It depends what you want to do. Most adventurers aren't likely to raise their artisan/craftsman talents more than a couple of ranks, because that's not their profession. If you want to make money at a craft... you probably shouldn't be an adventurer.

You wouldn't need to take the skill again in any case.

Okay, thanks. I just like my characters to have interests other than adventuring.

I have a house rule that artisan skills add to the character's mystic defense against the horror mark power only.
