Take The Hit, how to use this Knack?

Its Simple Action so must be used in Adepts Initiative.

So Warrior and Trubadur are fighting next to each other. Warrior in his Initiative uses on Enemy Take the Hit (2 strain) getting normal Talent bonuses plus chance to redirect attack of that Enemy. Then in its Initiative Enemy is attacking Trubadur. Then Warrior spends 2 Strain (4 in total?) and attack is redirected to Warrior. Is that correct?

What if Enemy have 3 attacks? 2 Strain for each redirect, 8 Strain in total?

What if there are 2 enemies each with 3 attacks?

You are correct.

2 Strain to activate the knack (which also allows normal use of Anticipate Blow -- see the errata posting here -- making the normal Anticipate Blow test and designating the adjacent ally to protect. The adept using the knack gets the Physical Defense bonuses the talent normally allows, along with the attack bonus.

If the adept using the knack wants to mark multiple opponents and protect their ally from them, they pay the strain cost for each opponent, just as they would with the normal use of the talent. Then it is 2 strain for each attack on the ally that is intercepted.

So, if you choose one opponent and they have three attacks and you choose to intercept all three, it would cost 8 strain total -- 2 for the initial activation of the knack, +2 for each attack intercepted.

If there are two attackers, you designate both, using the knack on your Troubadour ally, and each has three attacks, it would cost a total of 16 strain (paid in increments of 2). 4 when the knack is activated and the test made, then +2 for each attack intercepted.

Remember, the intercepting character gains the benefit of the normal PD bonus from the talent -- so an attack that might hit the Troubadour might not hit the Warrior as a result.
