Rumor: The Blood Bees near Iceclaw Moot are keeping the Trolls from making a permanent trade route to Throal. A 'diplomat' from Iceclaw Moot has come to Throal seeking adventurers willing to destroy the Hive where the bees live and the Queen that spawned them.

Further Information:
The group fought and killed the Blood Bee Queen and cleared the hive in 42.07. They also found strange, disformed and strenghtened Bees and a sentient Ghoul. They furthered contact with the very grateful inhabitants of the Iceclaw Moot.

From the Journal of Dubhan Goronich:

This time around I agreed to help some colleagues render assistance to the Iceclaw Moot in the matter of a hostile hive of Blood Bees. With me in this were Vlolkir the Skyraider, Jael the Beastmaster, Dvarim the Weaponsmith and Norg the Gauntlet.

Having researched the Bees, I found that salt may, or may not, aid in battling them. One thing was for sure however: they are poisonous, so I invested in a couple of Kelia's Antidotes and suggested others do the same.

After traveling to the Moot and gaining updated intelligence, we head out. We scoped out a Blood Bee ambush at a bridge, and managed to turn the tables nicely. We then proceeded to invade the nest.

Inside the nest it was a long, hard slog of a battle. We managed to use the terrain to our advantage, keeping the bees bottled up. As usual, I enhanced my colleagues, even Jael's two animals. However, despite the circumstances crying out for the use of my Juggler's Touch spell (many enemies in a small area) the beasts were able to resist my magicks both times I tried.

Ultimately, we prevailed, although I wish I could have contributed more. Jael has claimed some Crystal Weave armor... I imagine he'll want it looked into to see if it is a Thread Item. I look forward to that; I'm curious myself.
