    Spoiler:
    • A wooden box, bound with bronze on the edges and corners, with a button set into the top. There is no obvious way to open the box; its weight suggests it may be empty. The box is classed as a Size 2 object. It has a Mystic Defense of 14, and is a Journeyman Thread Item.
    • Ranks:
      1. 1 strain: Pressing the button of the box while immersed in water or fire will cause the immersing element to heat up.
        • Deed: Immerse the Box in each of the five elements, in turn. Push the button, and observe what happens.
      2. The more powerful thread allows the owner to open and close the Box. Pushing the button has no effect unless the Box is closed. Blaethynn is the son of a draftsman who began learning some of his father's craft when he was learning his letters. After he was identified as a potential Adept, he was initiated and trained as a Weaponsmith by his distant cousin, who also instilled in him a love of the natural world. Now old enough to leave his family, Blaethynn is ready to explore the outside world and bring back knowledge of the unexplored reaches waiting to be discovered.
