Brief Backstory
Varis was raised in the Inner City of Tirtaga. He has a strong loyalty to Throal and King Varulus III, and is a firm believer in the Council Compact.
When he was found to be an Adept, he enjoyed visiting the Grand Library and the Crystal Greenhouses. Varis looked forward to having an important role in the community. However, when we was being honest, he did not like the prospect of these things being the entirety of his life's work.
When the Gates opened for the Earthdawn expedition, Varis was always in the crowd, trying to get the scent of open sky. When the Gates were opened for everyone, Varis leapt at the chance to get out and start exploring. Spreading the Council Compact will lead to a new Barsaive, free of Theran influence.
