Durability... I first got in touch with such a concept with West End Games d6 Star Wars.
Players needs a 30 with 6d6 to hurt the beast because its stamina is so high.

Other games like D&D or even GURPS use hit points. 10 small cuts are easier to take the behemoth down than 1 huge blow.
Well, I have 5 weeks for a short immersion. If my friends don't want to try out, would you consider a solo ? Even a team-oriented game
like d&d can support solo play. I know, I Gamemastered 10+ of these on forum (text) or skype in the last painful 9 months...

Sorry! I must have clicked on it to respond, got distracted, and forgot! That happens to me sometimes on here ...

I'll look at that Festival Draconis! I always have a difficult time getting a game down to one session. Nothing beats "can't" like trying, though.

I'd be happy to run a short solo adventure. Give me a minute to think about it. I can run something any given weekday evening 9-12 pm EST. What kind of character are you interested in running? Beefy fighter? Clever tinkerer? Mysterious mage? Nosy investigator?

I'm an early bird. 9:00 pm is too late for me... My friend is available on mornings (he works 23:00-7:00).
I'm available 8:30am-15:00 pm (3h max) till the end of february. After the festival, I work 45h/week instead of 10.

I like intrigue and Investigation games.
I'm a player on an intrigue game and my GM investigation game is almost over (supposed to be over for months-players can be Sooooo slow on play-by-post forums)

So, investigation!
I can create a player...

Discord can be fine. I have a server there https://discord.com/channels/7120290812 ... 7588971532
but I prefer skype, even if there is dice roller there...

During the day is tough. I'm a teacher and I have kids at home.

Actually, what about Feb 7th on Sunday morning? No promises I won't have any interruptions, but I bet I could get a game in. And if the game isn't done in one we could have a follow up on Feb 13, Saturday or Feb 21?

I have a 2 biweekly games, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, for one game a week. I can't play 2 games in one day - my kids would riot! There's an investigation module I wrote up year or two ago that I've run before and was pretty happy with. We squished it into one session with 5 players, but it would've been more comfortable stretched over two. Of course, fewer players means faster games, so who knows? Not the GM in this case at least.

My Earthdawn group has actually started using Google Meet and discord for dice and chat, but I've never tried skype for games.

a 10 pages character sheet!
Seems too much!

Well, I'll create an investigator and send you the result...

<laugh> It includes a bunch of text to help with character creation, as well as stuff for Journeyman talents and Spells which you won't need. All that stuff you can delete. Maybe I should make a simplified simplified sheet. Or you can just use the official one, which is shorter. But not as simple? I don't know.

For online, I like that you can just click on the headers to jump around. And I'm old so like how big it is on my screen.

A young married couple reexamine their relationship when they both become romantically involved with a woman. You're making me blush!: You are flattering me! You are embarrassing me! idiom. Stop making me blush. to blush: to become slightly red in the face, to have red cheeks (usually because of embarrassment)Also, at first glance or sight. When first seen. For example, At first blush we thought it was an elegant restaurant, but it soon became obvious that it was hardly the place for a special dinner, or At first glance the contract looked just fine.
The word blush originated around the year 1300 in Middle English and came from the Old English word blyscan. The origin of the full idiom at first blush in unknown. I'm also an old RPG fan and I can safely say that 1879 is a great game.
