A Shaman could use any of the five elements named as aids for developing a KAV native to their Lodge. A teacher of your Lodge can simply teach you the Lodge's KAVs. A grimoire of your Lodge can be used to learn KAVs. A teacher or grimoire of a different Lodge serves as inspiration. The Shaman cannot learn a Mage spell, but the Mage could show the Shaman how the spell works, and grant the Shaman a bonus on developing their own KAV.

Hi everyone,

I capture this Post die another Spell question:

Transform self:
I really have no clue how to handle this one.

Example 1 Dwarf Transforms himself Into a Mouse.
Her wont get enough success to really get that tiny, so will he bei a big Mouse, which Attributes will he have and wich skills can he use?

Example 2 our Dwarf Transforms himself Into a Troll Barkeeper. He Likes to infiltrate the local Gang. Here i Got Same question as in example 1. Another question would be can he Count as the local Barkeeper?

Many thanks.

Transform Self is meant to be limited. This is a lower-magic world. So, yes, your dwarf will be a very big mouse. Perhaps her should go for dockside rat instead. The dwarf would keep his own Attributes, except for Dexterity, which is limited to the average Step of the new form. He would be able to use any Skills that his new form would allow. Diplomacy is right out, as rat-squeaks aren't going to be well received. Yes, his Charisma is high, he's a really cute rat, but he's not going to be able to negotiate with an elf. Likewise, with a rat's Dexterity Step of 4, Clockwork or Lock Picking aren't going to work very well. Perhaps the dwarf might want to study a raccoon. They're quite adept at opening locks and latches.

In example 2, the dwarf now looks like the troll barkeep. Whether he can pass himself off as the troll barkeep depends on his social Skills. The spell just provides the physical form, not the Streetwise, First Impression, Etiquette, and so on that may be needed.
