What about some kind of hex measuring tool for playing without a grid?

I'm finally going to be starting a campaign, and I love this. Especially since I was going to do it myself but now I don't have to!
Adventure I'm running:

A hex is two yards, hex being the Theran word for "six [feet]".

I used to have a bunch of Car Wars stuff, believe it or not. It had a printed-out tool that you used to measure angles and measure movement. I imagine something like a ruler with hex edges.
