Player's Guide

Player's Guide 2nd printing has gone from 53.1mb in size to 108mb in size. It's literally more than doubled in size.
It's very sluggish on my I7, 16GB RAM laptop :/

I'll look into that. It was probably some option that should have been checked that wasn't.
(I'm still kind of new to that end of things, so forgive me.)

Yeah, it was. I was exporting the PDF for (basically) "high quality" rather than "small file size". (It's a physical-print versus screen-image thing.)
The good news is, I'll be able to fix that fairly easily, but it will be a couple of days. I'm going back in and putting the background images in the book for the deluxe hardcovers, and I'll export a proper PDF when I'm done.

New update for all three core books was uploaded earlier today.
New file sizes:
Player's Guide: 30.4 Mb
GM Guide: 20.5 Mb
Companion: 19.9 Mb

Same here. PDFs weight on average 5mb less than before only.

That's weird.
I just checked the files on my hard drive, and they have the values I listed above. The values listed in FASA's cloud storage space (where I put them to be uploaded to the store and DriveThru) shows those same values.
I know they were bigger before (because I did a size comparison of old-versus-new when I was playing with settings).
But then I went into my store account to download the file and it gave me the previous update -- the one without the updated background. And it has the larger file size.
I'll look into it, but a question for those following: Does the new update have the darker, textured background to the pages or is it still the plain white?

Plain white.
