Re: Much Ado About Nothing
I don't really want to get into the overall discussion here but wanted to add my own eperience based on the OP. To set the baseline: I have been playing ED 2 regularly with the same group for well over 6 years now. We were basically the same group with some characters actually existing for the entir...

Re: House rules for more power and less fiddling
I am certainly one of those players from whom these rules would never work. Not only do these house rules significantly alter gameplay, as far as I am concern they also break the fluff of earthdawn.
Still thought it to be a good read though.

Re: Claw Shaped tails?
I've had this case in a previous game and we also handled it through a knack.
We made it a rather low-rank Knack that the adept could get early, somewhere around Talent Rank 4 or 5.
I did limit its use though, to a single attack per round.

Re: Issue with Talent format (see Claw Shape)
During the development of ED4, the bonus to Claw Shape was restored (Rank + STR +3) to make it a comparable choice to an actual weapon, rather than forcing Beastmasters to spend skill points on a weapon skill as a crutch for early Circles. While this can equal, or even exceed, a broad sword at Firs...

Re: High Circle Preview: Weaponsmith
Personally, I am super excited for the Weaponsmith. I used to play one in 2nd edition and it always bothered me that he was basically a giant damage sponge for physical and especially magical damage but had very little cababilities to retaliate. Or just do things in combat in general. This also wasn...

Re: New Novice/journeyman spells?
On that note, in which book will we find the Shaman that Morgan teased on his blog?

Re: Spliced Weave
The way I see it, Spliced Weave is very powerful and comes late for a reason. Concise Casting and Spliced Weave basically allow you to cast multiple spells per round. Getting Concise Casting first enables you to cast 0 Thread spells at first and later on Spliced Weave upgrades this to casting multip...
