Re: High Circle Preview: Nethermancer
The problem with that is most of the time Blood Magic damage can't be healed until a condition is met. Like the Archer power Blood Bound Bow -- the character can't heal the damage until the effect ends (which, admittedly they can do at any time). No duration is given, or an indication that the adept...

Re: New Discipline Creation
That.... would be a question better suited to Morgan, since he's the one who really spearheaded the Discipline redesign. Yes, the talents in the Player's Guide are all Novice/Journeyman... at least for the Disciplines that first get them. That doesn't prevent them from becoming available to other Di...

Re: New Discipline Creation
There were rules included in the original (ED1) Earthdawn Companion (The Scout and Air Sailor were introduced as examples from the system). There were also rules provided in the ED3 Gamemaster's Companion. There haven't been any posted for ED4. They may be a web supplement for them in the future, bu...

Re: High Circle Preview: Nethermancer
Those are very good questions.
I need to ask Morgan what he meant, because I just realized I made an assumption that may not be the case at all... and similar abilities show up in a couple of other Disciplines.

Re: Your Earthdawn
Actually, your airship description isn't that far off the official status of airships in Barsaive (at least as far as I'm concerned).
The printing press does not exist in canon Barsaive.

Re: What happened to Aardelea?
I haven't decided what is going on with Aardelea. I haven't taken a look (recently) at what the original BAW outline did with her, and while her fate is important in some respects, it is less important from a 'launching a new edition' standpoint than the broader socio-political climate in Barsaive. ...

I'm fairly certain the rights for that property are elsewhere.
(Don't know for certain, as I'm not a legal guy, but that's my understanding.)

Re: Statistical breakdown
There don't seem to be as many little fiddly rule differences between skills and talents of the same name as I remember, though, which was one of the reasons behind this optional rule. That's intentional. I wasn't particularly fond of them, as I felt that in most cases they didn't add anything but ...
