Re: Animal Bond + Dominate Beast, acceptable combination? Plus other AB & DB stuff
I think you may be mis-reading the Talent slightly. There is no "bond" effect separate from the Attitude Improvement. Once the Attitude is improved to Loyal, the animal counts as an animal companion. (Thus, you must wait the required time between rolls.) I also agree with Mataxes in the other thread...

Re: Info Search - cost of Elemental Kernels
I answered this over on facebook (where, btw, Carsten Damm said they just made up those kernel costs for EDC): Serpent River, p99, "Riverboat Maintenance": "Fire kernels are packaged by skilled craftsmen in boxes reinforced with orichalcum and elemental earth. Typically, a box contains 5 kernels and...

Don't let a trained martial artist walk up and step on your foot. Don't let a trained sorcerer slip out of reach and step on your shadow.

Re: Praise for 4th edition Earthdawn
I've been very "heads down" in my re-design notes, missed this thread. I AGREE. ED4 is FANTASTIC. It the cleanest implementation of the CoreStep system thus far, and it's actually been very good to work with (very standardized concepts.mechanics) while I re-design the Airship rules (so close to a wo...

Re: ED4 Chase scenes
Now I have the image of an Obsidimon Troubador with one of those woven headdresses that looks like dreadlocks in my head. I've been taking notes from this thread, as part of the Airship rules-redesign involves a chase mechanic that I would like to make generally applicable. Let me gather some ...

Re: Strength and armor based initiative penalties
I've often thought (but never really tested) that the larger weapons (i.e., the ones with higher strength requirements) should have substantially higher damage output. Can't a broadsword basically cut someone in half? And it only does a few more damage points on average than a dagger? It's actually...

Re: Statistical breakdown
Ah, cool. The Living Barsaive - Haven material mentions Foul Folk and Falsemen, so I thought he Foul Folk stats might be around for 4e. I will use Falsemen as a reference. (Also, sent you a PM. )
