Re: T'skrang Herpetology
There is indeed a lot of question marks about t'skrang physical attributes. Since, as you said, there is a LOT of artistic interpretations of them and little canon data about them is available other than things like height/weight, tail, 'cauliflower ears' and their head thingnie, there has been a lo...

Re: Deluxe Publications
The deluxe versions are indeed hardcover (A very nice black hardcover with silver). The second printings includes all the erratas up to the date they were released, both in physical and pdf form. Of course, many more erratas have been found since then and are not included. You can take a look at the...

Re: Rules: Momentum Attack
I would assume that since it says 'while recovering from the first blow' (and NOT while recovering from the damage of the first blow) that as long as the attack was successful (and you got an extra success) you can make your second attack. The fact that the armor absorbed some or all of the damage a...

Re: Rules: Momentum Attack
FROM OFFICIAL ERRATA: Clarification: The extra success required on a close combat Attack test doesn’t have to be “spent” to activate Momentum Attack. The goal is to mostly keep things contained for now. If more than one success is required to hit, the extra success is beyond that requirement (hence ...

Re: Theran Empire in South Africa, America and Australia
The Skypoint and Vivane book (1st edition) makes a short reference to 'Aznan' and a 'Cloud Mountain' located near the southern tip of the continent (which could be mean The Cape). They also say that they maintain 'an outpost' there (not a colony).

Re: How much did losing the Shadowrun connection affect the meta of the game ?
4th Edition did not really 'drop' anything. It is important to understand that in Earthdawn (pretty much like Shadowrun), new editions don't 'cancel' previous lore. Rules and mechanics might have changed but all the lore developed in the previous editions are still valid; 4th edition just 'moved for...

Re: Can a group pattern be made by 1 person
One of the mandatory step to create a group pattern is to swear a oath of blood peace with the other member(s) of the group. Since such a oath requires, at least, 2 people, I'd say that no; a group pattern requires... a group.

Re: Thread Items - how many is too many?
There is many 'schools of thought' concerning Thread Items. Some GM are very generous with them, some uses them very rarely and there is anything in between. First of all, the Thread Item mechanic in Earthdawn is rather crunchy and can be hard to understand for a new comer. Personally, I find it sti...

Re: Distance and Travel Time Elven Nations
Thanks everyone I wasn't sure if 4th edition moved it or if it was in the same spot as the Thera book showed it. Good information to have. Well, the Theran book never showed where Shosarra was beside a vague arrow pointing north. I really hated that because making that crayon map just a few inches ...
