Re: Horror Power - Thought Worm, where or how?
It looks like it was re-worked into the Corrupt Compromise Horror Power. They are slightly different, though. Let's see. Corrupt Compromise requires that the horror has a Horror Mark already on the victim (thus is subject to the Horror Mark range restrictions). The horror spends a Karma point and of...

Re: Claw shape and shields
Absolutely :D Armor too. Dwarven War-casters are a sight to behold, and some of the worst enemies in my 1/2/3 ed campaigns were elven casters in faerie chainmail. Come to think of it, I've always wanted to stat up that dang Illusionist martial-arts master (hold-thread, grapple, *POW*), but I would h...

Re: High Circle Preview: Warrior
Warriors have been elemental-themed since first edition (Airdance, Woodskin, Gliding Stride, Earthskin, Missile Twister, Body Blade, Stone Skin). Heck, in 1e they even get Elemental Tongues at 11th circle and Elemental Hold at 13th. I take this to mean that the high-end game was dealing with great-f...

Re: Forum fall down, go boom
Looks good in Firefox, but very broken in Chrome: all menus open blocking thread links, the red "new posts" and blue "old posts" symbols being repeated across the frames blocking out words, some things weirdly offset. Looks fine in IE. Restarted Chrome, still all messed up. Sorry about the craziness...

Re: Hold Thread
Yeah, it's really hard to take casters out of the action without rendering them unconscious. There's a really cool moment in the novel 'Mother Speaks' (I think) where J'role's ex-wife, the Elementalist he rescued from the Blood Wound when she was a young girl, gets captured by Therans (who simply bi...

Re: [TW/ED] Healing
The whole "may be revived X hours after death" thing comes from the story of how the Passions trapped Death (the Named spirit) under the lava of Death's Sea. The hand of Death is checked slightly by Her ( ) imprisonment.

Re: Hold Thread
Hm, I've been cruising through the thread and thought of something. How does one prevent a mage from casting? Prevent them from completing the Astral Arc, usually by blindfolding them (let's assume this also blocks astral "sight"). With Hold Thread, the mage can start a pretty hefty spell and wait u...

Naw, GitHub is still up and active, it was 'GitLab', a separate service, that crashed.
