Re: Optional Rules for Companion
Hit locations and different armor values on limbs? Hrm... the piecemeal armor stuff? That's not a bad idea. Quick-gen Npcs? Modular disciplines? For the former, do you mean pre-generated NPCs? Or guidelines on coming up with them quickly? Because there are pre-gen adepts in with the GM Screen, and ...

Optional Rules for Companion
One of the chapters in the upcoming Earthdawn Companion will be a selection of optional rules. There aren't very many right now, so I'm looking for some suggestions of what we might include. For reference, here's what we've got right now: * Chain Casting * Increasing Free Talent Ranks * Lowering Mys...

Re: My ED4 Campaign Post-Mortem
Cool. I'm curious to know how the game went down as far as the play experience. How easily did new folks get into the system? How did the old hands feel about the changes? Was there anything you though might be troublesome that turned out not to be? How about the other way around?

High Circle Preview: Wizard
The preview for the Wizard went up this morning. We had a bit of a storm up here in the wilds of central Maine and we were without power until just before I left for my day gig, and wasn't able to get the thread up (until now). Here's the link to the preview. Questions? Comments? Discussion? Have at...

Re: ED4 Chase scenes
So... here's my philosophy on chase scenes. Note: This is not the only way to do it, but the way I like to do it. Primary goal: If you're going to do a chase, it should be interesting. If it isn't interesting, move on to the interesting part. I don't generally deal with the simulation minutiae of ro...

Re: Praise for 4th edition Earthdawn
Anyways, as someone that made the jump from ED3 to ED4 (skipped EDC), I feel that basically EVERY bit of the system has been improved in my opinion - things are just more fun and more interesting. Great job. Point of clarification: Classic (EDC) was before ED3. There was a (short lived) Revised (ED...

Re: Praise for 4th edition Earthdawn
As a long time fan (and occasional critic) of Earthdawn, I totally get where you're coming from, and I am more than willing to hear comments, complaints, and criticisms of the game, as long as they are (mostly) respectful and constructive. When stuff gets toxic, well... that's where I draw the line ...
