Re: High Circle Preview: Troubadour
I'm noticing a common verbiage in the previews that is kind of "X allows Y to be used in a new way." I'd say that Concise Casting and Spliced Weave fall into this category. It seems like part of the ED4 redesign is to make individual Talents more interesting and useful in latter Circles by augmentin...

Re: Sharing Adventures
Subforum could use some rules like what description should have etc. If you're talking about the new journal subforum Bogie just put together, feel free to make some recommendations on what you think would be good. Better yet, hit said subforum and post a few of your own journals in a format you fi...

Re: Wallpapers and other goodies
CSS. 'Cause Special Syntax! Cryptographic Symbol System! Casual Stroke Stimulation! I agree, CSS is a big pile of ... fun ... times. To be fair, though, the real culprit is the rendering model used for HTML, and the completely foolish ways a number of layouts attempt to break it. Relative-position d...

Tag journals for published adventures as [spoiler]
Much like the Game Master's forum, Adventurer's Journals can contain spoiler material for players. In the case of Adventurer's Journals, journal content can describe details about published adventurers. If these details are read by groups that have not yet run that adventure, it can adversely affect...

Re: High Circle Preview: Nethermancer
I'd be interested to hear what the thought on that was. I can easily see why you wouldn't want to offer both free matrices as Enhanced + Armored; that would make the 'cost' of spells with base thread 1 much less punitive. However, if matrix-damaging Talents/Spells/Abilities are a bit more common in ...

Re: High Circle Preview: Nethermancer
I'm definitely keen to hear this, too. I could easily see upgrading the last Standard to an Armored at the Warden level. However, at the Master level, it would be really nice if it is an OPTION to change the Enhanced to a Shared. Shared is versatile and cool, but it hurts giving up that pre-woven th...

Re: Is Multi-Disciplining Worth It?
@MetalBoar i think you pretty much completed your thought and just didn't close the loop. You listed maybe seven reasons that players often want to pick up an additional Discipline. As you also mentioned, ED4 eliminates one of those: Adepts can now spend karma on option Talents, so no need to pick u...

Re: High Circle Preview: Nethermancer
Mataxes/Panda: While I like the flavor of these higher level bumps, I have to ask why this is a good idea. Let's summarize this to a stub since Mataxes says it appears multiple times, and let's assume that it's an optional action. We then end up with something like "At Circle X, the Adept may take N...

Re: High Circle Preview: Nethermancer
Isn't blood magic's duration normally a year and a day, unless the character decides to prematurely end the enchantment and heal the wound? I think that's what it says in PG, though I'm not 100% certain Not really. Most magical things that have a time length use a year and a day. Forge improvements...
