Re: Group Pattern
Hiya, Can we find information about group pattern in the 1st Edition Books, or was this created for the 4th? Absolutely you can find that information. It's in the ED1 Earthdawn Companion, p.52 "Group True Pattens and Thread Magic." (ED4 Player's Guide, p.233. And in other editions, et al.) Take kaer...

Re: Blood Elf Children
Hiya, Thanks Belenus! That helped me track down the same tract from the (unpublished, sorry folks) English novel. Here are the salient English sections, from the manuscript. "When I thought I couldn’t stand the pain anymore, a new fear blossomed in me. Perhaps the problem had to do with the Corrupti...

Re: Blood Elf Children
Hiya, I think Belenus is talking about Little Treasures? I've not read the German version, just the English manuscript. I don't recall anything relating to spontaneous development of thorns, however. There is a section where the mother is concerned that her baby might have thorns due to other reason...

Re: Blood Elf Children
Does children of blood wood elf are born with thorns? (Ninja'd by Morgan! :D) Hiya, They are born as normal elves, but undergo the Ritual of Thorns like other blood elves. Reference ED1 The Blood Wood, p.14 specifically (Current Attitudes section) and the earlier parts of the Ritual of Thorns secti...

Re: Does anyone know the name of the Throal airships?
Hiya, Best I can find is in Living Rooms Games "Barsaive at War" (for ED1, not ED2 - LRG's first two books were actually ED1 products). Chapter 4, p.37 onwards, covers the different forces, including the names of Throalic galleons, etc. These may, of course, differ in ED4. (Barsaive at War is based ...

Re: Fire canons and Missile Weapons
More incentive to get those rules out and about Telarus! :) In ED3, we (RedBrick) expanded on the ED1 content. More information is in the ED3 Crystal Raiders book, p.136, which has a handy-dandy table covering a bunch of ship weapons, how many crew members are needed to shoot the weapon, range, etc....

Re: Fire canons and Missile Weapons
Hiya, Back to the ED1 source. ED1's Crystal Raiders of Barsaive, pp.123-124, covers using Ship Weapons in Combat (i.e. targeting individuals).Yes, Missile Weapons is the talent/skill used if you want to target someone with a fire cannon. It's a Called Shot and takes a lot more time between shots. Be...

Re: Spot Armor Flaw Target
Hiya, Mataxes has the right of it. The Spot Armor Flaw Test is made against the highest Mystic Defense of: 1. The target wearing the armor; or, 2. The armor. As Mataxes noted, most of the time the target wearing the armor will have a higher Mystic Defense. Generally, only thread armor or other magic...
