Re: Crunklechops [Construct]

Well, you know your party. If you need to add another mask, beef up the servants, or boost the health ratings, definitely do so. I did make a few changes, but I think I've messed with it as much as I'm going to, until I get a group to 7th circle.

Re: Crunklechops [Construct]

1) Your group is has a lot of buffing that stacks up, so I would take that into account. I applied part but not all of the Legendary Mask. The Death and Unconscious rating according to the Legendary Mask should be 5x higher, for example. This is intended to have some servants along with it, but you ...

Crunklechops [Construct]

*edited to be scarier* Crunklechops Originally a Jehuthra forged by a Crystal Entity, it became ambitious. Crunklechops learned a variety of Nethermantic blood magic rituals and eventually slew its master. It now wears its creator’s corpse on its back like a suit of crystal armor. It is half-convinc...

Re: K'stulaamoyna [Path - Tail Dancer School]

A really interesting take ... not quite sure I have a specific comment past that. But I have read it and am thinking about it!

Kettle Tread [Creature]

Another nasty! I am not sure completely how to balance out 1879 creatures, so advice is welcome: Kettle Tread Serpent The Kettle Tread Serpent is named for its resemblance to the tread of a military kettle unbolted and stretched out on the ground. Its body is snake-like, but it's boney scales are la...

Re: Saddleborn [path]

Don't tempt me! There's already full blown disciplines that help you become a famous singer and traveling tinker. There's a path that lets you pretend your character is in grad school. And I play 1879, where you can pretend to be a rich person. Not like batman or anything, just rich.

Re: Saddleborn [path]

I changed it pretty dramatically before I read your bit, Sharkforce. I do think the difficulties of including Cavalrymen are overblown, though.

Saddleborn [path]

I did the thing that Panda said we shouldn't :D ** Edited pretty heavily! Cavalryfolk ** This is written with Panda’s Animal Companion rules in mind. http://pandagaminggrove.blogspot.com/search?q=animal+companion The Saddleborn Path originated in the great central plains of Barsaive within the nomad...

Re: What is a Social Interaction / what is not?

You can Make an Impression as an Interaction test, but not First Impression.

The heart of the system imo is the Favor mechanic. I wish all of this had been in the Player's Guide and even going back to 1st edition in the player's section of the book. It really doesn't get the play it deserves.
