Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs

It can also be derived of this rule:
p. 33 of the players guide wrote:Regardless of modifiers, the minimum result on any test is 1.
And of course the Rule of One.
But yes, you're right: a clean Rule doesn't exist and a negative Defense could still be interesting for the success levels.

Re: Spot Armor Flaw Target

Hello, all. According to the rules, Spot Armor Flaw rolls "against the higher of the target’s or his armor’s Mystic Defense." In the case of a Namegiver opponent, does this mean I compare it's Perception-based Mystic Defense against the MD of the armor alone rather than their modified total defense...

Re: Entertainer Talent for Troubadour

You can still use the optional rule from the companion on page 435: The purpose of Free Talents is to provide characters of certain Disciplines with tools and abilities they are expected to have that may not directly influence play very often. These talents should increase as the character advances ...

Still 2:
Players Guide p. 257 wrote:Dull-witted creatures and most inanimate non-magical objects have a Mystic Defense of 2.
Players Guide p. 63 wrote:Another reference could be the Characteristics Table: Even with a Attribute value of 1, your Defense Rating is 2.

Re: Item with Thread Weaving bonus

It doesn't seem to be higher than in other editions.
And I also never had problems with reattuning.
I could only see a problem there when you're playing an obsidiman or troll and just have a D4 as Karma dice.

Re: Item with Thread Weaving bonus

Never played 1E. Why are you able to cast faster with an higher thread weaving talent? Just looked it up, it works just the same as in other editions: With high enough a roll you can weave multiple threads at once. But I never had problems with weaving threads and just one to three more rank...

Re: Nethermancer: Summoning

In all my groups not a single nethermancer ever used the summing talent :|
But all those players were to lazy to read the rules for summoning and explaining it to them didn't help either.
I on my part never played a nethermancer ^^

Re: Gained talents and improvement

To bring in a little rules-based rationale (RAW, if you will), relevant sentence in bold: Some Thread Ranks provide a bonus to a character’s rank in a talent (but never skill), for example, “+1 rank to Avoid Blow”. If the character does not know the talent in question, he now knows it at the indica...

Re: Throal

The book seems to imply that people from the Dahnat are working daily in the Mines and/or Crystal Greenhouses which would mean that the distance is 'walkable' on a daily basis. but When looking at the relative size of the inner cities that would mean that they walk the equivalent of about 6-8 'inne...

Re: [ED3] Re-sizing magical items

Why do you need the re-sizing ability? Just talk to the gm that he should consider to alter some of the magic items to windling size himself and have you find it already that way. + If re-sizing would be an thread one abilty, I would never take a human sized armor and try on good luck, if it has the...
