Re: Movement&Distances

You already said so yourself: Usain Bolt was able to run this fast in absolute perfect condition. Just once this day, perfect ground, shoes, clothes, no additional weight and even the perfect weather. + The speed restriction for characters is just meaned for situations where you need them. If the ch...

Re: Disbelieving damaging illusions

They could have the player use cards. Playing cards where the color denotes true or not or spell cards that just shows whatever spell is being cast. Placed face down, then the GM has no idea and can just act like a player. I'm playing an illusionist and I put a D4 somewhere another player can see i...

Re: 4ed Character Sheet

I only can offer you german grimoirs, but you could take it as a template for an english one.
For example for the illusionist: https://www.earthdawn-wiki.de/attach/Il ... dition.pdf

Re: Actual use for Hold Thread?

This way your standard matrizes become enhanced matrizes as well, just that you receive strain, so you still need some tactical thoughts. Or as already mentioned: You can prepare 2 thread spells / have an addition thread. But yes, I know what you mean, it isn't the talent I'm looking for to get eith...

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs

Yeah, I know. But it is by far different than it was before.
In older versions the flying speed of a griffin was double the movement speed.
And if you take a jungle griffin 4th edition for comparison, it has Movement: 14 (Flying 20) and has more or less the same statue.

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs

Players Guide p. 294 Griffin:
Movement: 18 (Flying 18)
I guess the movement speed at land should be less than flying?

Re: Blood Elves

I'm playing a blood elve in the 4th edition for quite some time now with all the above rules.
There is just one error: They get a bonus of +1 to Spell and Social Defense, not to Physical.

And they must have a Willpower Attribute Value of atleast 12 (before racial modifiers).

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs

Hm, I unterstood Spliced Weave different: Yes, it allows you to make multiple Thread Weaving tests in one round, but Thread Weaving is still a Standard Action. Meaning you can't use Spellcasting in the same round.

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs

Thanks! I added it to the german errata as well :) I have another question, since it is a discussion running in a german forum: On page 256 of the Players Guide is written: 1. Weave Threads into Spell If a spell requires spell threads, the magician weaves them using the appropriate Thread Weaving ta...
