Re: Replacement Talent for Haggle

I take it back then, apparently read it wrong.
Still, the talents fits thematically, even if it is flawed

Re: Replacement Talent for Haggle

I have two primary complaints. A strict, literal reading of the RAW (4th Edition) is broken as it only gives you a +/-5% change in price, max. That is per test, and you get Rank x tests per negotiation. Haggling is a competition, you can roll multiple times (so can the merchant) and the total succe...

Re: Replacement Talent for Haggle

For Weaponsmith I get it since the discipline has something inherently commercial about it. However, I don't feel that it fits the Thief unless you play the "steal everything and try to fence it" kind. We don't use all talents to advance, never have and I have never had issues with, to be honest. Th...

Re: Haggle on Advancement fee.

That depends, some potential trainers might feel straight up disrespected.
Trainers for disciplines that have haggle as a discipline talent will probably see it as a show of competence.

Re: Looooot!

I was hoping for feedback before going further with the design process - I wanted to play with the Companion rules some. I think I will specify that Tinker's Holdout only helps with skills, but doesn't stack with talents. If you fail a dex test with a silk mule it dumps all of your stuff on the gro...

Re: K'stulaami clothing and armor

It's a bit of a challenge but they should be able to wear almost any armor. I would just make their armors more expensive due to the large number of modifications to standard designs needed. As Earthdawn doesn't have hit-zones, armor is armor, no matter what it looks like. Plate armor could just be ...

Re: Elementalists in Elemental form

Elemental Form exists, as a Master Tier ability. But it is not what you want it to be :| I personally think that a spell like that could upset game balance quite a bit, as cool as it might be. The Elementalist could become completely immune to a certain element on demand and gain a bunch of weird fl...

Re: Questors

Nethermancer has a spell that does pretty much that. Questors have very little in common with DnD clerics/paladins

Re: Stealth and Surprise

So Stealthy Stride can allow you to get multiple Surprise Strikes, but not multiple Ambushes. In my Opinion. And Conceal Object, I would house rule nerf that to say it allows you to Surprise Strike, but not regain full surprise. In my Opinion. Spot on. Conceal Object was pretty much designed to reg...

Wizard Mark lets you cast spells, not use knacks.
