Re: [Discipline] Custodian

EDIT 17. Jan 2019 - Post playtesting : The thread has now been updated based on last weekend's playtesting: Some discipline talents were changed, options were scrapped and Law of he Land has been moved into 15th Circle, after the Master Tier had been finalised. I think it is a pretty well-rounded d...

Unrequited Wave (GM Guide Page 241)

Key Knowledge Rank 3: Name of the weapon's creator
Key Knowledge Rank 5: Name of the Obsidiman who created the weapon

Re: How many versatility talents is too much?

I never limit my players and also don't like to be limited when I play a human. As long as you have the LP and available Versatility Ranks, learn whatever you can. So there isn't really a "too much" if you or the player know the advantages and disadvantages. Talents are expensive, and versatility ta...

Re: Scorchers

Hrm, I'll need to dig that up ... wasn't it a Kaer that depended on elemental fire for defense or something? Those are the Vorst. Pretty sure those were the Scavians, they had the Kaer close to Death's Sea with a lava-filled opening at the bottom. Needless to say, Horror's that didn't care much abo...

Re: Asking for feedback on concept

We employ basically the same thing in a current campaign I'm playing in. If we try to achieve something that takes the effort of more than one person, then our GM just announces what options there are to participate and the amount of successes needed. If we end up with more successes, then he determ...

Re: Licences and Corestep

Just wondering: Couldn't you auction off "boxes of old inventory" and just let a a number of select game stores know what's inside?

[Discipline] Custodian - Animal Companion-centered

I created a discipline with one of my players for a current game. The aim was to fill the niche for a character that relies on animal companions to do most of his fighting and other stuff. The general idea was to not make it a cliché ranger á la DnD but to give the character a nice toolkit to be mor...

Re: Vampires

Had that dicussion a while back with my group. Never actually occured to me how problematic vampires would be since blood magic is such a big thing.
Interesting :D

As just mentioned in discord:

10th Circle Discipline Talent for the Swordmaster is wrong.
Should be Defensive Posture

Re: Karma: 1st edition vs 4th

OP's first impression is right on the money. Back in 1st edition I played a windling beastmaster who's melee body count was usually just a hair below our troll warriors, mainly due to big cheap karma, plus he had all those cool beastmaster powers. Now that windlings don't get bigger karma cheaper, ...
