I vote for the companions. While the Fort Alice and Saurid sourcebooks will be nice, there's a lot of material that you have said will be in the companions, like spell creation and such

Ooh, the magic bleed has slowed down. So, I wonder if over the next decade magic is going to slowly start bleeding into the Gruv from Earth. After all, the cyclical magic of earth seemed to ramp up pretty fast from the Gruv's jumpstart.

Hmm, I wonder if spell magic would be a useful tool against the Samsut undead troops then. And a steady state world....hmm, I wonder if that is natural or artificially induced with the type of tech the Samsut found. Makes for some food for thought.

What about in the Gruv? Wouldn't the magic there be high enough for them to function? If you could figure out how to use them.

skill question
I was wondering about a skill received by mages at the novice tier, Craftsman: magical tools. What counts as magical tools and how would they be used in game? There's no info jn the player'd guide about that.
