Re: Is it just me, or is Invoke Leopard Pounce really strong?

Greetings, Josh is correct and I updated the errata document accordingly. It can be viewed as stronger than Shield Bash at low Circles, but then that starts to change at higher Circles. Shield Bash gains access to the Shield Drive knack, and can benefit from Waterfall Slam in addition to follow-up a...

Re: Shaman spells - talk me down off this ledge

Greetings, Shamans are designed to be powerful at supporting a group. It's a focus and they are good at it, though that role is not for everyone. Their Journeyman ability, Pack Leadership, communicates this and has its costs, Blood Magic Damage, Strain, and possibly Karma. The first two dig into fin...

Re: Questors: Stacking between Passions Empowerment, Passions Inspiration, and questor's usual spending of DP

Greetings, 1) Action is not synonymous with test. It requires the recipient to do something to support the Passion's ideals. In what seems to be circumstances surrounding "being a patient of a questor of Garlen," that's not really doing anything to go out and promote Garlen's ideals. If the action i...

Re: ED4 Mystic Path Journeyman Knack

You can use more than one knack, though using a knack counts as using the talent. So you can use a Maneuver knack and an Acrobatic Defense knack in the same round, but cannot use Maneuver and a Maneuver knack. Unless a knack specifically states otherwise, which applies to all Karma knacks (p. 213): ...

Re: ED4 MysticPath Knack Requirments

That was copied and pasted verbatim from the errata and clarifications document. The print version uses the same PDF file and was submitted many months ago (at the same time the PDF was released), despite how long it is taking.

Re: ED4 MysticPath Knack Requirments

Greetings, If a Path requirement can only be reasonably met through a skill (e.g. artisan or knowledge), a skill can meet the requirement. If there is a common talent (e.g. Melee Weapons), the talent must still be used. Speaking and reading and writing a language require only the ability to do so, r...

Re: ED4 Mystic Path Journeyman Knack

Greetings, That understanding is incorrect. You are not required to choose the talent the knacks apply to. If this was the case, it would spell out how you need to choose that talent when the knack is learned. However, each knack can only be used once per round. If you want to spend Karma on talents...

Re: Summoning and you . . . so many questions

1) Additional services and shorter summoning time make summoning increase how accessible it is in a variety of situations. It's a very powerful ability and offers incredibly versatile solutions to problems. Without some notable tradeoffs, it allows one character to easily overshadow (and even replac...
