In my opinion, the southern edge of the Blood Wood (Kaer Eidolon) is where Ninzhy Novgorod is on our modern maps (on the Volga/Serpent River), which means the often cited "Chernobyl = Blood Wood" claim falls apart. I'll have to peek at that Knacks thread. I have been allowing Cavalrymen with a Knack to Charge dismounted with OK results. You can 'default' Avoid Blow to Dex Step (1/ rnd). Having ranks means you are much much much better off when swarmed.
