Re: Booster Potion Vs. Last Chance spell

True, but supply and demand is also a thing; if they were not available aplenty, they would cost a lot more because the demand would certainly not go down. I think there are some logic flaws there. The law of supply and demand says that if demand increases, then price will increase, which will usua...

Re: 1879: The Expendables

The journal of Lord Bentley Bootle, Day 37 out of Caracas.   After our fight with the pack of mummies, we retreated to our camp to rest through another afternoon and night while Erika recovered from the strain and wounds of combat, while the rest of us practiced. We discussed exploring the remainin...

Re: Questions for Mystic Paths

I was wondering about question (b) as well, and had been planning on asking something similar.

Re: Big Trouble in Little Soho [Spoilers]

There was a huge breakdown in communication. The goon we had captured said he would tell us where the headquarters was, only after he had gotten a deal. PC Westley Campbell said it would take several days, but that he would contact us as soon as he knew were the headquarters were. We waited 7 days, ...

Re: Is Great Leap, by itself, the entirety of a movement action?

I would allow "standard" movement in addition to the Great Leap. Wow. I had never even considered that it would allow a total bonus movement, and that you could leap up to your movement rate, then use your normal movement action to move up to your normal movement rate on the ground, and still have ...

Re: 1879: The Expendables

The journal of Lord Bentley Bootle, Day 35 out of Caracas.     When we were stomping the stunned Arocknids, Erika, curious as to what would happen, decided to bash one of them with the staff that she was fairly sure was a staff of healing of some sort. The staff healed the Arocknid, which promptly ...

Is Great Leap, by itself, the entirety of a movement action?

This is a question I have had for a while, but never bothered to ask until now. I have seen several examples given in books and forum answers that seem to imply (without ever clearly stating) that a Great Leap is, by itself, an entire movement action (when not used as a free action to avoid an envir...

Re: 1879: The Expendables

The journal of Lord Bentley Bootle, Day 35 out of Caracas.     Everybody was wary of experimenting with the glimmering circle, but we had seen a creature fly out of it, so we know that it seems to be a portal between worlds, and that it was still somewhat working despite being damaged and unstable,...

Re: Anticipate Blow work with missile weapons?

Anticipate Blow clearly says it gives a bonus to the first "Attack Test". 1. Make An Attack Test Whenever a character attempts to attack a target, whether with a weapon or a spell, he makes a test using the appropriate talent or skill. This type of test is usually referred to as an Attack test. For ...

Re: Optional Strain Rule

I tend to consider that a character that chooses to take strain is damaging themselves, is a feature and not a bug. Strain is optional. There is almost always an option to do the same thing without strain. The non-strain option is usually slower or in some other way not as good, but you can choose t...
