Re: Sunlight Shaman spell

The descriptions states: ' Illusions also fail to conceal the target, granting any onlookers a +20 bonus to associated Sensing tests ' Thus, in my opinion, I think the 'conceal' part is key here; the bonus would apply only to things that conceal (i.e. hide) a target. Thus I'd say the +20(!) bonus w...

@Sharkforce I'm not sure if I would go about it the same with Phantom Flame.. That would be VERY powerful FOR a third circle spell...
hmmm... yeah, looking closer, it only gives the bonus to things that try to conceal you. still, it might help with a spell like switch.

Re: Sunlight Shaman spell

the spell would help in dealing with hostile illusions placed on the caster as well as beneficial ones. for example, the phantom flame spell would normally cause damage for 2 or more rounds. a shaman with this spell on them would gain the benefit to spot the illusion if they were to attempt to put t...

Re: Experiences with High Circle groups?

so, you're gonna be waiting a long while to get the high level spells if you want something official from 4th edition, unfortunately. you could go through previous editions and consider converting over some of the higher circle spells yourself, of course. as to adventures, i'm not super familiar wit...

Re: Nightflyer's Cloak

Greetings, Current damage doesn't change and use the adept's health ratings. The idea changing form heals is a D&Dism. I can just imagine a guy repeatedly hitting a small bat with his hammer and freaking out that its still alive. now imagine that bat is actually a multi-discipline nethermancer (or ...

Re: Nightflyer's Cloak

i will say however you resolve it, don't give them an entirely full health bar every time they assume a new form. healing is a precious and finite resource in earthdawn, and there's not really a major limit on how often you can use the spell, so one way or the other it pretty much needs to cause som...

So, I've been assuming that spell matrix, as with other talents, cannot be taken from multiple disciplines because i'm pretty sure there's a rule that says you can only learn a talent once unless otherwise specified, and the only thing i recall being specified was for the free matrices (well, actual...

Re: More than one Talent Option each circle?

one other possible way to get the results the player might be hoping for would be to consider thread items. not every thread item does it, but for example if you were to look at the frost pouch, it allows you to use thread rank in place of spellcasting for a few tests related to using abilities that...

Re: More than one Talent Option each circle?

i would expect it to be a little bit stronger, but not dramatically so. it will be stronger, because versatility is a form of power, and people aren't going to take an optional ability that they don't think is worth taking so they're only getting good stuff. that will of course be mitigated by cost,...

A few questions

1) is this open to anyone? and if so, what are the minimum requirements (i mean, presumably you need the ability to run discord and... roll20 it looks like? is it voice-only (or i suppose, for that matter, can you play by text... i'm guessing the use of discord implies you're wanting voice, but it c...
