What is a Social Interaction / what is not?

In the German Facebook group a discussion arose about which talent and which skill is a "social interaction". Triggered by the ability of the troubadour: " Karma: The adept may spend a Karma Point on Interaction tests" After I started to make a list of which talent and skill belongs in which categor...

Re: Foundry Virtual Tabletop

Never used Foundry myself. In times of Corona I used Roll20 for the first time, where a semi official character sheet connected to a dice roller and initiative system including the use of battlemaps exist. But I stumbled upon some problems with the dynamic lightning / fog of war and the character sh...

Re: Steps Beta!

Wow, very nice, thank you! Just some thinks I noticed so far: Bloodelves are missing I would add the source for "Other Talents" to make it easier to pick one. For example Elementalist Circle 5: Fireblood (Journeyman) Versatility: Talents are not filtered by circle (for example Wheeling Defense can o...

Re: Hi everybody

Hello Huynh and welcome to our community. Pleased to meed you too! Guess I never introduced myself here  I am Tim, 32 years old and from Germany. I first learned about Earthdawn with 15 and after a break from ~5 years I started it with the 2nd edition quite active (several rounds, at least one...

Re: Tasting "Inspire Others"

Ha, funny, without your houserul you could buff each others Inspire Others -> With the buff you get potentially an higher roll, buff the first one back -> He then has an higher roll and buffs the 2nd one a little stronger, etc. etc. :P

Re: Tasting "Inspire Others"

Same in my group.. A Troubadour/Nethermancer has this talent. Luckily most of the time she rolls bad and the bonus is low. But there are some times, where the group gets their +8 and more bonus to all rolls.. No need to say, that this overruns any encounter. She even used the group pattern and the B...

Re: Replacement Talent for Haggle

well, for what it's worth, I took the time to check the errata, and that makes it a bit more clear: "Haggle, Page 152 Clarification: Each side makes all their tests independently, they do not alternate tests." So who rolls faster, gets more tests? Because the Players Guide itself says (and isn't re...

Re: Replacement Talent for Haggle

I have two primary complaints. A strict, literal reading of the RAW (4th Edition) is broken as it only gives you a +/-5% change in price, max. That is per test, and you get Rank x tests per negotiation. Haggling is a competition, you can roll multiple times (so can the merchant) and the total succe...

Re: Replacement Talent for Haggle

I don't see a way how you would be able to abuse it  You get a 5% discount if successful. You lose 5% if the merchant is successful. Items being sold by a player don't sell for 100% of the buying price. ~30% for used armor, weapons, etc. ~50-75% for other items. With haggle you might be able ...
