Re: Naming military airships

The only canon name that I can think of is/was Neden's flagship: 'The king's justice'.

You might select names from ancient kings or the original clans making up Throal (details at the beginning of the Throal book).

Re: Differences in lore - 1st edition vs 4th edition

Which language is it? As for lore, nothing have changed between 1st and 4th edition other than the timeline advanced about 10 years. So everything that is described as 'happening' in 1st edition has happened. Region/city lore, racial lore etc is also still valid. The exception is 2nd edition that is...

Re: Sunlight Shaman spell

The descriptions states: ' Illusions also fail to conceal the target, granting any onlookers a +20 bonus to associated Sensing tests ' Thus, in my opinion, I think the 'conceal' part is key here; the bonus would apply only to things that conceal (i.e. hide) a target. Thus I'd say the +20(!) bonus wo...

Re: Illusionist spells "stacking"

IMHO: As for 2b: I'd say if you resume your concentration on the spell on the third round, there is no longer any penalty since the illusion is now back into 'acting normally'; how 'weird' it acted in previous rounds would not affect a sensing test done while everything is 'normal'. If you drop the ...

Re: Extra Threads: Additional Target (+1)

My understanding of this is that additional targets is not like an AOE spell; in other word, the spell is cast 'independently' on different target and are therefore 'tracked' interdependently too. Thus, Sensing/Dispel is affecting the one person targeted and, if successful, only affect that person, ...

Re: Mystic Paths?

Unfortunately no. Mystic Path introduce the concept of Paths that converted many of the old 'extended, racial-only' Disciplines into paths that can be taken 'on top' of your Discipline. They also introduce/'converted' some new 'full' Disciplines like Shaman. There is currently no 4th edition books c...

Greetings,

Current damage doesn't change and use the adept's health ratings. The idea changing form heals is a D&Dism.
I can just imagine a guy repeatedly hitting a small bat with his hammer and freaking out that its still alive.

Re: Nightflyer's Cloak

It's unclear but there was a discussion about that here: http://fasagames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1458

The beginning is just about which creatures are 'nightflyers' but it goes on about the damage mechanic later in the thread.

Re: it's probably nothing, but...

When multi-disciplining, you CANNOT duplicate the Free Matrices. In other words, a Wizard/Nethermancer would still only have 2 Free Matrices. However, the Optional Matrices can 'duplicate'. In other words, A novice Wizard/Nethermancer CAN take the Optional Matrices from both Discipline; thus, a Novi...
