Re: Story: Battle of Shiroyama (Castle Mountain)
A bit more of the story He looked to his ally, dressed in the uniform of the American Confederacy’s Engineering Corps with the rank of Colonel, equal to the rank of Sho-Sho. The man was tall and spindly and was one of the ‘changed’, resembling what was called an Elfu. Dark haired with brown eyes, sh...

I'll need to go back and look, but this feels a bit like what's going on in 1879

Re: A list of Firearms for the 19th century
Sorry for the bit of thread-o-mancy, but I came across this while researching and this looks like the main line rifle for the British Empire during the 1879 era

Re: Story: Battle of Shiroyama (Castle Mountain)
Poking my head back in on this as work has slowed down a bit. I'm working on the story again and I've found a way to go for what I was intending and what the developers are aiming for. I just want to make it a satisfying set up

Re: Story: Battle of Shiroyama (Castle Mountain)
An amateur scholar scholar at best (undergraduate degree), but I have many books on the various historical periods of Japan , working my way up to the Modern period. I'm trying to scribble up something that would fit, allowing for the historical differences, what I have seen so far and Kind of aimed...

Story: Battle of Shiroyama (Castle Mountain)
This is a bit of fiction I'm fiddling with after reading over the general ideas about Japan in 1879 and the lead up to the status quo in Japan. I'm not quite done with it, but I'm doing research about the Satsuma Rebellion against the Imperial government of the time to get it to end up how they are ...

The Big Easy 1879
After reading over the GM's guide to 1879 and looking at the local political set up of the NorthAm Continent with it's various separate republics and one kingdom, by all rights New Orleans should be in a prime position to become the major international port/trade hub for the CSA. But I cannot imagin...

Re: Is the 1879 Map Historically accurate
I play Gaslight Era Call of Cthulhu, 1870's-1890's. It looks pretty close to the maps I've seen.

Re: Gruv Lancer Snail
That is weird enough that I must use it at some point. 'Death by snail' has a ring to it. And lets not mention magical frogs with even more poisonous skins....
